The Short Answer

Candy Shorts is priced in tokens, not per series. On a standard series, Episode 1 and Episode 2 are free, and every later episode costs 12 tokens. Digital-twin series charge 30 tokens per paid episode.

Premium members watch with their plan’s tokens. Candy only shows plan prices to signed-in users at checkout, so we quote no dollar figures here.

In practice, trying a series costs nothing. You only start spending tokens when you go past Episode 2, so the real question is how many episodes you want after that.

What Is Free

Episode 1 of every standard series plays without an account. Episode 2 is free once you create a free Candy account.

That is the whole free tier. Spicy series have no free episodes at all. The free episodes page walks through it step by step.

The free episodes are also the only part that never touches a token balance, which makes them the safest place to judge whether a series is worth paying for.

Tokens Per Episode, With Examples

Each paid episode costs 12 tokens on a standard series and 30 tokens on a digital-twin series. A few worked examples, all in tokens:

  • A standard 5-episode series: Episodes 1 and 2 are free, then 3 x 12 = 36 tokens for the rest.
  • A digital-twin 5-episode series: Episodes 1 and 2 are free, then 3 x 30 = 90 tokens.
  • A standard 10-episode series: two free episodes, then 8 x 12 = 96 tokens.

Most series have five episodes, so 36 or 90 tokens covers most of the catalog. The longest series run 30 and 34 episodes; a 34-episode standard series is 32 paid episodes, or 32 x 12 = 384 tokens. See digital twins for the 30-token series.

Premium and Monthly Tokens

Premium includes a monthly batch of tokens that you use across chat, voice, images and video, and episodes draw from the same pool. You can top up tokens if you run out.

Because the same tokens cover chat, voice, images and video, your monthly batch is shared across everything you do on Candy, not just episodes. If you mostly want to watch series, keep an eye on the balance.

Payment and Billing

Candy states that it accepts Visa, MasterCard and crypto, including BTC, ETH, USDC and Litecoin. It also states that billing is discreet, under a neutral merchant name.

Candy adds that transactions are encrypted, data handling is GDPR-compliant and support is available 24/7. We have not audited those claims, so read Candy’s own terms before you pay.

Spicy Titles

Spicy series are Candy’s adult tier. Guests see a blurred poster and a sign-up wall, and there are no free episodes.

To watch, you need an account plus Premium or tokens. We cannot see Spicy episode counts from outside, so we cannot give a token total for them. The Spicy page lists them all.
