House Rules

House Rules: the story

House Rules is a five-episode stepmom series on Candy Shorts, and the hook fits in one line: a bored wife drafts the rules, and her husband’s grown son is the one who has to live by them. He is home from college for a stretch, and she has decided the household needs some new policies, all of which turn out to work in her favor.

The complication sleeps down the hall. His girlfriend is staying in the same house, so every rule gets enforced in whispers, behind doors and on borrowed time. The mood is flirty and tense rather than graphic, with the heat building as the episodes go on.

Veronica Parker, the AI character on the cast list, is a companion you can chat with on Candy. You can also meet her in Staycation With My Fiancee’s Mother.

Access follows the usual ladder: a guest can start Episode 1, a free Candy account adds Episode 2, and from the third episode each one costs 12 tokens unless a Premium plan covers it with its tokens. More stories like this one live in the stepmom collection.
